Terms and conditions
Last updated: 3 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy from HALDEN. Please read them before you order. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About us
HALDEN ("we", "us") sells to consumers in the UK. You can contact us at hello@halden.shop or through our contact form. Our full details are at the end of these terms.
2. Who can buy
You must be 18 or over and buying for household use. Our products are delivered to UK addresses only.
3. Our products
We describe our products as accurately as we can. Images are for illustration, and small differences in colour or packaging may occur. CO, temperature and humidity readings are a guide to conditions in your home. Please read and follow the user manual.
4. Ordering
When you place an order, we'll email you to confirm we've received it. Our contract with you starts when we email to say your order has been dispatched. We may decline an order, for example if a product is unavailable or a price is clearly wrong. If we do, we'll tell you and refund you in full straight away.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total you pay. Delivery is free. We take payment when you place your order. We accept cards through Shopify Payments (including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay) and PayPal.
If a product is wrongly priced and the mistake is obvious, we may cancel the order and refund you, even after we've confirmed it.
6. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates. See Delivery information. If we haven't delivered within 30 days of your order, you can cancel and get a full refund. Your order is our responsibility until it's delivered to you or to the person or safe place you've chosen.
7. Cancelling before dispatch
You can cancel your order free of charge at any time before it's dispatched. We'll refund you in full.
8. Your right to cancel after delivery
The law gives you 14 days from delivery to cancel for any reason. We give you longer: you can tell us within 30 days of delivery, then send the item back within 14 days of telling us. When you've changed your mind, you pay the cost of returning it. We'll refund you within 5 working days of receiving the item. See Returns information.
You can handle the product as you would in a shop. If it's handled more than that and its value goes down, we may reduce your refund.
9. Faulty products and your legal rights
We must supply products that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they aren't, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the right to a refund within 30 days of delivery, then a repair or replacement, and in some cases a refund after that. For faulty items we don't usually need the product back: a video or photo of the fault is enough. We pay any costs of putting a fault right. For more about your rights, visit Citizens Advice.
10. Lifetime warranty
Every HALDEN monitor is covered for its working life, which is 10 years from delivery. If it develops a fault from normal household use in that time, we'll replace it free of charge, or refund what you paid if we can't. The warranty is for the original buyer and doesn't cover accidental damage, water damage, misuse, opening or modifying the product, or normal wear and tear. Full details are on Returns information. The warranty is in addition to your legal rights.
11. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breach. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breaching your legal rights in relation to the products, or for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
Our products are for household use. We're not liable to you for any loss of profit, business or business opportunity.
12. Events outside our control
We're not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control. If one happens, we'll tell you and do what we can to limit the effect. If there's a significant delay, you can cancel and get a refund.
13. Your personal data
We use your personal data as set out in our Privacy policy and Cookie policy.
14. Reviews
We collect reviews only from verified buyers and publish them whether they're positive or negative, except where they're offensive or unlawful.
15. Our website
The content on this website, including text, images and our brand, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
16. Complaints
If you're unhappy, please contact us and we'll try to put it right quickly.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on our website when you placed it.
18. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
